Engineering resumes are much different than the marketing, executive, sales or art resume. It is necessary in this type of resume to flash light on the previous work history, education and overall performance. So such type of resume cannot be made by using the chronological format. One can opt to use either the functional or combinational resume.

As every year, lot many more engineers are available for work, there is lot of competition between the job seekers in this field. An successful engineer must be active , sharp and innovative. All the recruiters from the company are in need of such successful engineers.

So, how is the recruiter judge your technical and professional qualities. This role is initiated by your resume. The resume is the way to fulfill our desires regarding the job. So now it is necessary to prepare the resume properly. It is replica of your personality. On the basis of this the recruiter can judge you. If he feels like that you have spark, then you get an interview call, then the further procedure starts like the aptitude test, group discussions and personal interview. In this further, your resume role is no more.
