Student Resume

Suppose you are about to complete your education but you need a job. Now as a student you might feel that today as a student who will offer me the job, or how should I try to get it. So no need to panic or worry. Just make a good resume and send it many places where vacancy is available. Now such advertisements are given in newspaper and also on the internet.

Now the next question as a student you may have is How to make the resume. Making resume is simple. You are selling your skills. So you have to enlist them. But while listing it there is some format. That format is said resume.

The main fields that must be present in the resume are:

  • Contact Information
  • Job Objective
  • Educational Details
  • Experience
  • Achievements
  • Hobbies
  • References
The contact information must have all the primary information regarding you that is your name, address, contact no and email-id so that the recruiter can call you up whenever needed.

The job objective must match your short term and long-term goals and also the qualification and the job post you are applying for. It must be simple in language and must attract the reader.

List down all your educational details in reverse chronological order. Mention out the academic grades scored by you. Mention the name of the school also. In the educational details you can also include the training you have taken in school during education. You can mention your communication and software skills.

If you have any past experience of work, just write that. Also mention the type of work done by you and how you managed to do it as a student.

Mention out all the awards and certificates you have received till date. It shows your active participation in many other activities. It makes reader to conclude that you are all rounder.

Write all the skills you have. It must be concluded from your content. Give the reference if it is required. Remember that reference must be available when required. So give the proper reference. Reference must be accurate.

Use active keywords and verbs to add quality to your resume. Use headings and sub headings wherever required. Make use of appropriate font size, font style and proper page setup. Use A4 size of paper.
